We’d love for you to write for us!
And we’re always on the lookout to accept new writers into our community. It’s very easy to apply. In fact, there are just three simple steps:
Step One - your handwriting style.
Is your writing good enough? We’re an equal opportunity company and have writers from all walks of life, but the one thing that unites them is good handwriting. Have a look at some examples below and assess whether you think you could be a good match. If you’re unsure, apply anyway as we’ll be able to tell you during the application process whether your handwriting style is of the quality we need (hint: we will ask you to send us an image of your handwriting!).
We rely on our writers to be forthcoming, to engage with us professionally and be reliable. We are essentially your client and you’ll be freelancing for us. So, it is important you’re able to share how much or little you can commit (we totally understand life happens) at any given time.
Step Two - Prepare your application.
If your handwriting meets the criteria we’re looking for, we will send you a second link for you to easily complete your enrolment. Have your ID, personal details and debit card ready.
We ask for a non-refundable payment of £30 to cover the materials within the writers pack, packing and shipping to you.
Since you’ll be freelancing for us, we’ll need to verify your details and have your permission to keep your information safe so we can pay you at the end of each month.
When you write for us, you’ll be given access to the online portal so you can select and apply for jobs you’d like to work on. You’ll also receive your writer pack, which includes a light pad, fountain pen and a pack of starter ink, which you’ll need to complete your jobs. The bespoke stationery for each job will be sent out to you as soon as each job has been assigned to you.
As you get better at the handwriting process, you’ll become faster and the time it takes for you to complete a campaign will reduce… or maybe you’re super fast already! 😉
Step Three - Apply!
Click on the button below and you’ll be taken to the application form. This will be reviewed by the team and you’ll hear back about next steps if you are successful.
Due to a high volume of applicants, we may only be able to get back to those writers who are successful.
Scribe Application FAQ's
I write in different handwriting styles, should I show all of them on my application?
Please use your normal everyday handwriting style and use only one cohesive style of writing in your application. We are unable to process applications that feature multiple styles of handwriting.
I made an error in my application, can I correct this?
If you have made an error in your application, please complete a new application via the same form.
Are you taking on new scribes right now?
Currently our application list is very long, however, if you have great handwriting we would love for you to apply!
Can I submit a calligraphy sample?
We are not currently looking for calligraphy style writing, when applying, please use your normal handwriting.
